Maui Diving – Scuba & Snorkel Center – is looking for a new full time or part time scuba instructor. The position is an independent contractor position meaning you will get a 1099 at the end of the year and be responsible for your own taxes. You must have all of your own gear for diving (minus tank), and insurance. We provide PLENTY of clients, vans, & client gear. All our dives are SHORE DIVES very rarely do we teach from boats. You’ll be teaching Open Water Certification classes, leading certified divers on shore dives, and teaching Discover Scuba dives, as well as Adv Open Water, Specialty classes, & Divemasters. You’ll be trained for shop retail work. This may or may not be something you do in your weekly job, but you will be trained on it so you know what happens in the shop and if needed you need to be available to work 1 day a in the shop. You must: Be a PADI MSDT with experience teaching at least 25 OW students or DSD’s. Prefer 2-years experience teaching.

Be in good physical condition to carry tanks and gear to/from the shop and vans Have a driver’s license and good driving record. Have an open schedule for 5 days of work and 2 days off. We pay on a very fair commission structure. A % of everything you take out. You can also earn commission on retail sales and selling other dives. We have the best paid instructors on island. You can also keep all your photo package sales.
