For a limited time, Partners in Development Foundation will be offering a recruitment bonus of up to $1000 subject to funding availability. (Must meet eligibility requirements.)

Primary Purpose:

Deliver the outreach program and assist Preschool Teacher (PT) with the designed curriculum.

Essential Duties:

Prepare for a High Quality Outreach Environment

● Prepare materials and equipment as assigned;

● Complete and submit assignments in a timely and acceptable manner. Prepare for a High Quality Preschool Environment

● Assist PT with lesson plan (LP) requirements according to the program designed curriculum for children and caregivers using the program-approved early childhood education (ECE) standards;

● Prepare preschool materials and equipment as assigned;

● Complete and submit assignments in a timely and acceptable manner;

● Assist with providing child care for drop-in services, if applicable per grant.

Provide a High Quality Outreach Environment

● Provide a program-approved physical learning and outreach environment for program participants. Provide a High Quality Preschool Environment

● Establish, preserve, and cultivate positive, professional relationships with program participants, colleagues, and program partners with respect and care;

● Assist the PT in providing indoor and outdoor opportunities and materials that foster learning of the program-approved curriculum.

Preserve and Cultivate a High Quality Preschool, Outreach, and Program Environment

● Participate in team discussions regarding issues and brainstorm solutions;

● Participate in professional development and cultural training;

● Drive vehicles in a safe and legal manner.

Other Duties:

Other duties as assigned include, but not limited to, completing all forms and documentations such as reports related to grant objectives, professional development evaluations, and daily logs.

Work Hours:

● Full-time positions: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or as otherwise determined by management;

● Part-time positions: Between 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday as designated by management; 30 hours/week;

● Position requires regular and predictable attendance;

● Some events and professional development may occur during nights or weekends.

Working Conditions:

● Designated program sites near or where participants reside, event sites, meeting and professional development sites;

● Office setting;

● Travel in program and/or personal vehicle to and from program sites.

Equipment Use

May include use of: vehicles (company, personal), electronics, and tools and equipment (used for site, prepping, office, facility, vehicle maintenance).

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Education

● High school diploma or equivalent;

● Knowledge and understanding of Hawaiian culture and values;

● Preference: Some ECE coursework.

Experience

● Three (3) months experience working with young children ages birth through five (5) in an educational setting;

● Some experience working with families and individuals in a caregiving capacity;

● Basic working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel) and Google Drive (Meetings, Docs, Sheets, Calendar);

● Proficient with email, internet researching, and virtual meeting and/or teaching platforms;

● At least 18 years old (to be counted in the ratio);

● Preference: Experience working homeless and/or at-risk families of KP’s target population; basic working knowledge of Canva.

Driving

● Valid driver’s license;

● A safe and responsible driving record.
