A Teacher is responsible for all aspects of the care & education of the children enrolled in their class: physical caregiving, developmental assessments, following an age-appropriate curricular plan, and facilitation of supportive relationships with the director, co-workers, parents, and students.

Lead Caregiver Salary: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

Talk, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, and controls. Tend to children's basic needs by feeding them, dressing them, and changing their diapers or potty training. Often required to stand and sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, or crawl.

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and in case of emergency a 40-pound child.

Education Requirements listed below

First Aid Training, CPR Training, Early Childhood Education (ECE)

Minimum Age 18 YRS

Education, Credits & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in ECE, Child Development, or related field. AND Credits: 12 Credits approved ECE or CD training courses may be part of the bachelor's degree) and 30 hours of coursework in I/T development from an accredited teacher training institute/program) AND 12 months of full-time experience working with children under 36 months in a licensed group care setting.

OR

CDA AND HIGH SCHOOL AND 12 credits approved ECE or CD training courses; 30 hours course work in I/T development from an accredited teacher training program/institute AND 24 months full-time experience working with children under 5 years in a licensed group care setting of which 12 months must be with children under 36 months

OR

2 years of college ( 60 credits). Preferably in ECE, CD, or related field AND 12 credits approved ECE or CD training courses; 30 hours course work in I/T development from an accredited teacher training program/institute AND 24 months of full-time experience working with children under 5 years in licensed group care setting, of which 12 months must be with children under 36 months
