After-School All-Stars (ASAS) is one of the leading national after-school program providers. Our comprehensive school-based programs combine activities and learning to help build the knowledge and skills children need to succeed, both in school and in life.
The full-time Site Coordinator, under the direction of the Program Team, is responsible for the daily operation ofthe program, including, but not limited to, personnel and general program operation:
Coordinate and monitor program activities to ensure quality programming
Maintain an inviting, safe and orderly environment
Maintain a clear and consistent line of communication with program staff, school administration and parents and maintain professional and positive relations with all
Provide day-to-day oversight of programs and after-school staff
Develop schedules that incorporate student interests, required curricula and timeframes and ensure their accurate implementation
Input, on a timely basis, required data into web-based database, to include, but not limited to, registration details, student information, student enrollment, class details, daily attendance, grades/assessment scores
Acquire and coordinate program equipment, materials, facilities, nutrition and transportation needs on site
Monitor student behavior during program hours and utilize appropriate discipline measures as necessary
Keep parents informed of discipline and attendance issues
Organize student recruitment activities
Maintain and forward fiscal data, including receipts, time sheets, material requests, evaluations and attendance data according to established procedures and timelines
Complete all required reports and submit them by the due date
Attend professional development activities and meetings provided by ASAS
Respond to inquiries from parents and students regarding program offerings, attendance and registration procedures
Assist Program Leader staff to create educationally appropriate lesson plans for classes
Review performance of Program Leaders and provide suggestions, demonstrations and assistance for improvement,as needed
The successful candidate will:
Have one year or more of non-profit or related youth development program experience
Have a familiarity with, and passion for, working with low income youth
Have one or more years’ experience working in a leadership or supervisory capacity in an after-school, day camp or community youth outreach setting
Have the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with school district staff, program staff, parents and community leaders
Have the ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate sensitivity to others as well as respond to critical incidents and act swiftly in an emergency situation
Be detail oriented with strong leadership, organizational, managerial and communication skills
Be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, databases and social media and virtual learning platforms.
Be a self-starter with a great personality, passion about serving youth in an educational setting and the ability to mentor middle school students ensuring they have a positive, fun and educational after-school experience.
Must clear DOJ and FBI Livescan and TB Clearance
Salary
Starting Base Salary: $44,000. ASAS offers competitive benefits, included, but not limited to, health, dental and vision.
This is a full time position, with hours of 9am to 6pm (with an hour lunch break, each school day). This is an
exempt position with occasional weekend and evening work. PTO is provided.
