HIEmployment is looking for enthusiastic and proactive Substitute Teachers who are committed to maintaining a positive classroom environment while ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of students. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children or teens, be skilled in engaging students through positive redirection, delivering effective lessons, the ability to manage diverse classroom dynamics, and a flexible approach to teaching.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree for Elementary
Bachelor's degree for Middle/High School
Relatable experience working with children/students
Strong classroom management skills and ability to foster positive student behavior
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to develop and deliver engaging lesson plans and adapt teaching strategies
Experience with diverse student populations and different learning styles
Requirements:
Transcripts / Diploma
Personal and professional references
Clear background screening processes
Current TB clearance (within 1 year)
Department of Human Services (DHS) documentation, as required
CPR/FA certified
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Frequently sits, bends, grasp light or fine manipulation, talk and hear.
May be required to sit in small, child-size chairs or on the floor.
Frequently stands and/or walks, write by hand.
Standing for periods outside in the sun to monitor children for recess, PE, or play time.
Occasionally lifts, carries, pushes, pulls objects that weigh up to 20 pounds.
Rarely twist, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, climb, work above shoulder, or grasp forcefully.
Comply with Covid policies and protocols.
Climb up/down stairs and hills.
