Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Project-Based Learning (PBL) educator to join our high school team. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to student engagement, an innovative mindset, and experience in designing and implementing hands-on, interdisciplinary projects. You will play a pivotal role in guiding students through meaningful, inquiry-based learning experiences that connect project content to real-world applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, plan, and implement PBL units that align with curriculum standards and foster student creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking.
Create a student-centered project environment that encourages inquiry, experimentation, and reflective learning.
Collaborate with other educators to integrate PBL across subjects, ensuring a cohesive and interdisciplinary approach.
Assess student learning through authentic assessments, including project presentations, portfolios, and reflective practices.
Provide students with continuous feedback and support, fostering a growth mindset and encouraging self-directed learning.
Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success and development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Valid teaching credential or certification relevant to the position preferred.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to adapt to a flexible and dynamic learning setting.
Passion for engaging students in meaningful, real-world learning experiences.
Proven experience with PBL or similar innovative instructional methods.
Strong understanding of project design, inquiry-based learning, and authentic assessment strategies.
