Construction Project Engineer/Project Manager opportunity located in Honolulu, Hawaii
The Construction Project Engineer/Project Manager position for our Honolulu, Hawaii Office is not a temporary or single project position.

Summary of Position: Construction Project Engineer/Project Manager for City & County, State, Federal, and Private Industry Construction Projects
Duties/Responsibilities:
Accurately manage multiple projects simultaneously that are assigned
Be proactive in all phases of project management
Analyze and evaluate project plans, specifications, scope, difficulty, bid estimate, and any other requirements
necessary to prepare and submit a job budget
Have a full understanding of administrative requirements for all projects assigned
Inform Upper Management of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in plans, specifications, proposal documents,
and/or bid estimate
Maintain in the job file, all correspondence records and notes for the project
Communicate with general contractors, owners, vendors, subcontractors, field supervision and trades
Immediately respond to any owner, prime contractor, subcontractor, or vendor questions; resolve issues immediately
and completely
Reviews the progress of the daily field activities of personnel and subcontractors
Communicate project goals clearly with field supervision team
Develop and update project schedule and look ahead schedules on a regular basis with input from field supervision
team
Weekly production review meeting with field supervision
Build good relationship with Owner/Prime Contractor
Understand contract clauses for notification timelines on changed conditions, additional work, etc.
Create step by step process for each owner or prime contractor, complete with proper language, forms, and change
order documentation requirements
Assist with estimating and project procurement
Ensure adherence to Health and Safety Policies
Anticipate customer needs to identify solutions, resolve standard and non-standard problems in the field
Work within budget to meet operational objectives set by Upper Management
Work with Construction Managers, other Project Managers, Superintendents, and Executive Management to
properly staff projects
Develop and maintain project financial projections
Provide ongoing feedback of work performance including performance evaluations
Provide high level management of quality, risk, safety, and compliance for the project and team members
Track equipment usage and operating/maintenance costs to effectively update our owned equipment charge rates

Qualifications:
B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Equivalent Work Experience on Infrastructure Repair
Construction Contracts
Must be able to work in team environment
Has complete understanding of the Construction Management Process
Has a track record of successfully managing Public Works Construction Contracts from Contract Award through
Project Closeout
Understands and has the ability to use the following computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word,
Microsoft Power Point, and Microsoft Project
Has the ability to adapt to changes quickly
Strong communication skills
Ability and willingness to travel inter-island for meetings and may require overnight trips to visit project sites
Compensation:
Salary dependent on individual applicant’s experience and qualifications
o Estimated Range: $80,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
