Accounting Supervisor

Description We are offering a role in the Oil & Gas - Pipeline industry, specifically in the accounting department, located in Honolulu, Hawaii. The position is for an Accounting Supervisor and provides a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Support the financial department and aid in preparing statements that adhere to all regulatory and accounting guidelines. Develop budgets, plan, and analyze operating costs. Utilize financial analysis software in daily tasks. Manipulate and analyze large data sets using advanced Excel functions like VLOOKUP and pivot tables. Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including analysis and commentary on trends and variances. Work closely with management or executive teams to share reports and analysis findings. Prepare forecasting reports and support strategic planning efforts. Streamline and improve available financial reporting tools. Participate in preparation for the annual audit. Assist the Controller in preparing reports and managing audits. Requirements Must have a minimum of 10 years experience in an accounting role, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry Proficient in preparing Financial Statements and Monthly Financial Statements Advanced knowledge and experience in using VLOOKUP and Pivot Table Possess strong leadership skills with experience in supervising a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required detail oriented accounting certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is highly desirable Knowledge of accounting regulations and standards Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
