Our ideal candidate is someone who loves dogs and who can handle the unique challenges of various breeds and temperaments. You should feel comfortable placing dogs in various types of harnesses as well as leading them on regular leashes. You must know how to ensure the safety of our canine clients and communicate any unusual behavior. Other qualifications include a valid driver's license, reliable motorized transportation (not the Bus), and a flexible schedule.
Dog Walker Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take one or more dogs on a walk at a predetermined time
- Follow all leash or harness requirements set by each owner
- Ensure the safety of all dogs under your care
Dog Walker Requirements and Qualifications
- The physical ability to walk and manage dogs of various sizes
- Tolerant to working in inclement weather, i.e heat, humidity, rain
- A valid driver's license and reliable motorized transportation
- A flexible schedule (you may be expected to work evenings, weekends, and holidays)
- Dependable and trustworthy
