We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Ground Crew Member to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient communication between climbers and ground crew, managing people traffic on the ground, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This position requires teamwork, physical endurance, and the ability to work in varying outdoor conditions, particularly in the heat.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively with climbers to ensure safety during debris drop-offs.
Monitor and manage ground-level people traffic, ensuring bystanders are kept at a safe distance.
Clean up and dispose of debris efficiently to maintain a clear and organized worksite.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.
Operate basic tools and equipment as required for debris management.
Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
Work outdoors in varying conditions, (never irresponsibly) including high heat, for shifts ranging from 6 to 10 hours.
Qualifications:
MUST HAVE reliable transportation as we are all over the island mainly Kihei/Wailea, Lahaina, Haiku, & Paia
MUST HAVE a working phone and is able to respond responsibly
MUST HAVE Strong verbal communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and take direction.
Physical stamina to lift up to 60-7lbs and move debris and work extended hours outdoors.
Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
Previous experience in a similar role (preferred but not required).
Work Schedule:
Shifts are typically 6-10 hours, 3-5 days a week.
