Aloha, we are a family of 3 soon to be family of 5 ( twins on the way ) living in Anahola Hawaii. We have two girls ages 3 and 4, my husband and I have lived on island for over 20 years. We also have 3 dogs and 1 outdoor cat ( that came with the house ) We live on 2 acres on a lovely open property the kids are free to run around most of the day. We live 2 minutes from the beach. We run a few business'sand we are very much looking forward to our family expansion. With the new additions we are needing help around the house and with the children. We keep a very tight schedule with family outings, housework, school, and work and are needing help thru our next big transition.
We are looking for someone with experience in maintaining a household, cooking, and child care. This position would be a live in position at 40 hours per week. We would consider this person a very important part of our family that we would want to have around for an extended period of time. We already have nannies and family that are willing to watch the older two daughters, so this role really is to help us maintain our home and help where needed when the new babies arrive. A typical day would look like an 8-5 shift. To start - helping clean after breakfast and get the kids off to school. Running an errand or two and then returning home to tap out mama for an hour or two as needed. Then working on dinner and overall help around the house. Running out to pick up the kids and take them to the beach or to play. Each day varies but overall errands, cleaning, tidying, small projects, and small bursts of childcare would be your responsibilities. Depending on the schedule some weeks might need a few split shifts in there working 7-1 and 4-8 for example. In general our whole family is in bed by 9pm.
Our family follows montessoribasic philosophies and we try to foster as much independence as possible. We are firm with our boundaries and schedule but strive to be the most kind and lovely parents we can be. Our family means everything to us and our goal is to provide a fun and nurturing atmosphere.
We don't need to fill this role until Feb 2025. However our start time is flexable. The babies due date is early May.
