Perform routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles and equipment.

Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.

Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems and determine solutions.

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.

Ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding repair status and recommendations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.

Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components.

Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Perform corrective, preventive, and unscheduled maintenance, inspection, adjustments, testing, cleaning, lubrication, and proper maintenance on assigned vehicles. Observe PV electromechanical components in operation to detect potential failures and locate causes of malfunction. Respond to malfunctions by completing repairs as assigned. Perform troubleshooting and identification to support field technicians in diagnosing and correcting faults. Produce accurate maintenance records of track, third rail, and related infrastructure using a computerized maintenance management system. Analyze log files to provide required corrective action and improvement. Perform re-railing tasks and re-railing equipment maintenance. Drive the Train in MSF and operate work vehicles when responding to emergencies. Operate OTE to move trains in and out of the shop and for wheel turning activities. Operate wheel turning machine, wheel press, train lifts, and other MSF equipment. Support on-site spare parts management and the repair cycle. Prepare fleet performance maintenance technical reports. Produce work blocks and job hazard analysis for planned work. Conduct job and safety briefings as required. Comply with Safety Rules, Operating Rule Book, and first-aid procedures. Ensure execution and collection of all maintenance records and support day-to-day maintenance performance monitoring. Ensure conformance to technical specifications and compliance with operational specifications and tolerances. Ensure sufficient materials, tools, and equipment are available, calibrated, and in good condition. Identify failure trends early to impact fleet availability. Perform simple failure analysis and technical investigation. Ensure corrective and preventative maintenance tasks are executed in compliance with safety policies and local regulations. Execute health check procedures before vehicles are put into service. Perform additional cross-functional job duties related to electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controlled systems.Hard Skills
