We are looking to hire an outgoing person who wants to share the aloha spirit with travelers visiting the island of Maui, by performing a lei greeting at the Kahului airport. Your work day will start at 10:30am and you will finish around 3:30pm.
You will have your scheduled greetings for the day; usually between 10 and 4. At times, you may need to do some other work for the business outside of the greetings; ie. assist with making lei, facebook marketing (if you have a background in Social Media), emails follow up and at times picking you supplies.
If we have big gaps between greetings you are welcome to go home (you will still get paid). We may have some online work you can do while you wait for the next greeting.
The weekly greeting schedule will be laid out in advance, so at times there will not be greetings or other work to be done, but you will still get paid your hourly rate. This will allow for additional free time during the week, while keeping your bi-weekly pay the same. Living in Kihei is ideal, as the pick up location for the lei will be off in central Kihei off South Kihei Rd. Or Kahului.
Job Description:
You will be given the lei for the day's greetings in a insulated bag, a sign with the guests name(s) and a basket to put the lei in when entering the airport terminal. You will be given all the greeting info; airline, flight number, gate and where to meet the client. We will accompany you to 3 to 4 greetings, to assist with getting familiar with the gate exits (left or right side of the terminal) and the service we provide each of our clients.
We are looking for someone who wants to pick up all the greetings 5 days or 7 days a week. Either Mon-Friday 10:30-3:30/4pm or Monday to Sunday, 10:30am to around 3:30pm/4pm.
We are looking to have either one person M-Sunday or
One person M-F and another Saturday + Sunday.
Pay: $19/hr plus tips.
We also give out bonuses, for getting great reviews from the clients.
A greeting, on average, should take about 30-45 minutes, from arrival at the airport until leaving the parking area after the greeting; some will be shorter, some will be longer. There is free parking at the airport for employees.
