53 By the Sea is now accepting resumes for a full-time/exempt Assistant Restaurant Manager position we have open. We are looking for someone who has previous supervisory experience or at least 5 years of FOH experience at a fine dining restaurant. This person will be responsible for providing the highest quality of guest service and a positive work environment for all employees, along with maintaining programs vital to the company culture. Our restaurant is a 7-day operation open for lunch and dinner. This position is a salary exempt position, and the candidate we are looking for must be available for any and all shifts.
Primary Responsibilities for our Assistant Restaurant Managers are (but not limited to):
- Direct employees by providing resources with enough guidance, direction, leadership, and support necessary to ensure that they are able to accomplish their goals.
- Work closely with both special event clients and the Kitchen (BOH) to create successful events/banquets.
- Ability to perform all positions and processes within the front of the house and back of house.
- Ensures a high standard of service efficiency, sanitation and training.
- Assists with the development of initiatives to build sales, profitability, and guest retention.
- Responsible for nightly cash outs and closing duties of staff members and walk through of venue.
- Assists with labor control and assigning duties to staff members.
- Assists management in training new staff members within their department.
- Ensures accuracy of daily/weekly reporting of staff member's labor hours.
- Understands and utilizes all safety and sanitation practices as defined in the safety program and reports any accidents.
- Follow all standards and protocols as set forth by ocean investments. Such as dress code, personal hygiene, drug free work environment, etc.
- Performing other responsibilities as assigned by Ocean Investments, LLC.
