The Banquet Server supports daily kitchen operations by helping set up food service areas, serving food, performing minor food preparation tasks such as light knife work, and ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role is vital to maintaining smooth kitchen operations, delivering excellent customer service, and creating a positive experience for guests during events and daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in setting up and breaking down food service areas for events and daily operations.
Serve food to guests with a focus on quality presentation and exceptional customer service.
Provide friendly and attentive assistance to guests, addressing inquiries or concerns in a professional manner.
Perform minor food preparation tasks, such as slicing or portioning ingredients.
Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment, ensuring they are sanitized and properly stored.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and food service areas, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Properly store and dispose of food, following established guidelines.
Support kitchen staff with additional tasks as directed by the Kitchen Manager.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in food service, hospitality, or customer service is preferred but not required.
Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
Ability to work effectively with staff, guests, and volunteers.
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to follow directions.
Food handlers certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Must be able to navigate the campus effectively during events and daily operations.

Flexibility in work schedule is required, including the ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as operational needs may require.
All staff must successfully complete a background check to be eligible for employment.
