The Local General Store is part whole animal butchery, part bakery, and all love. We are looking for production bakers to join our team! The bakers would be part of a collaborative team to create, produce, and bake pastries including (but not limited to) croissants, danishes, cakes, cookies, and other desserts. We are seeking individuals who are excited to work with locally grown and harvested fruits and vegetables as well as collectively creating new items around these seasonal fruits and vegetables.
Job Duties:
Providing exceptional customer service
Taking orders and accurately processing orders through the POS system
Fulfilling orders in a safe and timely manner
Stocking inventory
Preparingand Serving Coffee
Stamping pastry bags and boxes
Cleaning bakery counter and making sure it is welcoming for customers
Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications and requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous restaurant/cooking experience, preferred but not required
Must be able to frequently lift, maneuver and/carry up to 50 pounds
Must have TB Clearance
Must have Food Handlers Certification (can be obtained after hiring)
Able to work weekends
Shift hours are Thursday-Monday, 7am-2pm.
Starting pay is $14/hour + tips, + opportunities to grow.
