We are seeking a part-time Event Operations Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of events with scheduling and coordination of Hospitality Team members for an event venue.

Key Responsibilities:

Staff Scheduling and Coordination:

Maintain schedules for on-call team members utilizing mobile apps, spreadsheets, texts and phone calls.

Ensure optimal staffing levels for each event to meet operational needs.

Conduct on-site check ins.

Communicate schedules and any changes effectively to all team members.

Recruitment and Onboarding:

Conduct recruitment activities to attract and hire new staff.

Set up and conduct interviews with potential candidates.

Lead new hire orientations and site walk-throughs to familiarize new employees with their roles and responsibilities.

Administrative Duties:

Set up timeclocks for employees to ensure accurate tracking of work hours.

Assist with payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate payment of staff.

Maintain accurate records and perform general administrative tasks as needed.

Customer Service:

Provide exceptional customer service to staff and event clients.

Address and resolve any issues or concerns that arise promptly and professionally.

Adaptability and Problem Solving:

Remain flexible and adaptable to the constantly changing needs of event operations.

Think creatively to solve problems and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience in event operations, scheduling, or a similar role preferred.

Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Proficient in using mobile apps and computer software for scheduling and payroll. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Attributes: Positive attitude, reliable, adaptable, flexible, driven, and competitive in nature. Ability to work well under deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.

Customer Service: A strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Integrity: High level of work integrity and trustworthiness.

Our team members prefer on-call or gig-style work schedules which allows PT flexible work while being able to continue a full-time commitment elsewhere.
