Aloha, I’m a former professional cook looking for a student who is at least partially through their culinary degree at HCC to work at my home twice a week for 5-6 hours a day.
You would be tasked with making one meal to eat each day, prepping for two days of meals, and possibly brainstorming and making storable savory breakfasts without eggs as the center for a breastfeeding parent.
Day would be Mondays and Thursdays. You would of course expected to clean up your work space. We would work together to devise a menu for the whole family (two adults, toddler, baby starting solids).
My goal here is to give a young cook starting out good pay for good work, and good recs. Wages would start at $30/hour because it is a complex task to come up with meals a baby and adults could both enjoy. Familiarity with “Solid Starts” would be a plus but is not essential.
It goes without saying that we would cover the cost of the groceries.
We are a LGBTQIA+ friendly household, some of us are neurodivergent, and we want you to be kind above all else. We are also 6th and 7th generation local Portuguese, so local food is much appreciated.
