Job Title: Host / Hostess
Schedule: Full Time
Pay: $17.00 plus tips
Reports To: FOH Manager/General Manager
Please note that training for this new location is projected to begin in March 2024
POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a Restaurant Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, welcoming them with a warm smile and ensuring they have a memorable dining experience from the moment they arrive. You will manage the restaurant's seating plan, coordinate reservations, and assist guests with any inquiries they may have. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet guests as they arrive at the restaurant and escort them to their tables
- Manage the restaurant's seating plan to ensure efficient use of space and timely seating of guests
- Answer phone calls and assist guests with making reservations or answering inquiries
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and lobby area
- Provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for guests, addressing any concerns or special requests with professionalism and courtesy
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
