Position Summary:

The Housekeeper serves as a key member of the resorts operation team. The Housekeeper is responsible for general appearance and cleanliness of owner’s rooms and public areas of the resort. The Housekeeping staff regularly interacts with the owners and guests, and as such, is an owner’s impression of VI Resorts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Remove any debris from the guest’s room and common spaces including but not limited to garbage/recycling, food waste, and dirty linens.

2) Manage the bed and bathroom linens including: the changing of linens, removal of dirty linens from the units, inventory of dirty linens, transportation of dirty linens to the laundry facility and pick up of clean linens.

3) Clean all floor surfaces using the appropriate tool (vacuum, broom, mop, etc); including under and around furniture, and along edges with a crevice tool.

4) Steam clean floors as directed by management.

5) Clean/dust all surfaces in the units with the appropriate tool including but not limited to:

a. Windows, sills, frames, and spot clean blinds/curtains as needed.

b. All mirrors, artwork glass, and frames.

c. All furniture including but not limited to tables, bed frames, couches, and nightstands.

d. Clean all doors inside and out including exterior doors.

6) Clean and sanitize all bathrooms. Includes all toilets, tubs, sinks, showers, and floors.

7) Clean kitchens including but not limited to cleaning surfaces, cleaning appliances, and emptying refrigerator and disposing of contents. Place dirty dishes and utensils into dishwasher and start dishwasher.

8) Replenish guest supplies to standards established by management.

9) Return all lost and found items as directed by management.

10) Call in all maintenance items to the front desk or maintenance (as directed by management). Report any and all changes in room to the supervisor.

11) Immediately report any and all damaged or missing items to the supervisor.

12) Verify kitchen and room inventory and document results on the inventory sheet.

13) Follow procedures for use of chemical cleaners and housekeeping equipment.

14) Reports completed room to Supervisor, Inspector/Prepper, or person designated by management.

15) Keep housekeeping storage rooms and cabinets clean and orderly.

16) Clean common areas (lobby, hallways, game room, guest laundry room, etc)

17) Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

 Ability to interact with co-workers and guests via verbal and written communication.

 Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Desired Qualifications:

 Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality industry.
