Job Title: Line Cook

Department: Kitchen

Reports to: Executive Chef / Sous Chef

Pay: $18 - $24 DOE

Please note that this role is for a new restaurant scheduled to open at the beginning of May 2024. Training will begin mid-April.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Line Cook, you will be an integral part of our kitchen operations, responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes consistently. From prepping ingredients to executing plates with precision, you will play a key role in ensuring that every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Execute all menu items with precision and attention to detail, following recipes and plating guidelines.

- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service during busy periods.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards and regulations.

- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.

- Contribute ideas and suggestions for menu development and improvement as directed by the Executive Chef

- Uphold our commitment to quality and consistency in every dish that leaves the kitchen.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

- Previous experience working as a Line Cook or in a similar role within a high-volume restaurant setting.

- Proficiency in basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods.

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing consistent, high-quality dishes.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues.

- Ability to work well under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Culinary certification or degree from an accredited institution is a plus.
