Job Title: Personal Chef (Specializing in Asian Cuisine)
Location: Private Residence (Kona)
Position Type: Part-Time (3 to 4 days per week)
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Personal Chef to prepare high-quality Asian, primarily Chinese, dinners in our home. The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for creative Asian cooking and will initially work alongside my wife before transitioning to preparing meals independently. The role includes sourcing fresh ingredients, meal preparation, serving, and clean-up.
Our home provides a spacious and positive working environment, and we are looking for someone who is not only skilled in Asian cuisine but also a pleasure to work with and be around.
Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with my wife during an initial training period to understand our preferred cooking style and recipes.
2. Plan, source, and purchase fresh, high-quality ingredients for each meal.
3. Prepare and cook Asian, primarily Chinese, dinners 3 to 4 days per week.
4. Serve meals in a timely and aesthetically pleasing manner.
5. Ensure the kitchen and dining area are cleaned and restored after each meal.
6. Maintain a high standard of kitchen hygiene and organization.
7. Adapt recipes and cooking techniques based on feedback and dietary preferences.
8. Bring creativity and enthusiasm to meal planning and preparation.
Qualifications:
1. Strong experience in preparing authentic Asian cuisine, especially Chinese dishes.
2. A genuine passion for creative cooking and culinary excellence.
3. Ability to work independently after initial training.
4. Experience sourcing high-quality ingredients.
5. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
6. A friendly and professional demeanor, with the ability to work harmoniously in a home environment.
7. Prior experience as a personal or private chef is preferred but not required.
