Common Ground is a hospitality & lifestyle company for people eager to make a difference. Located on a 62 acre historic former sugar and guava plantation in Kilauea, Common Ground Kauai is home to a growing regenerative farm and hospitality venue.
We are a small dedicated team providing 100% Hawaii sourced meals with true farm to table ethos sourcing from our own farm along with many others on Kauai and throughout the state.
We are in search of a full time member for the culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about cooking from scratch in a dynamic working/learning environment. Experience in a professional kitchen is preferred but does not exclude the right candidate.
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of knife skills and cooking techniques
Basic understanding of professional kitchen etiquette
A love for hospitality with an Aloha spirit
Strong connection to Hawaii and a commitment to place-based work
Passionate about locally grown foods and flavors
Strong desire to learn how to cook from scratch in a commercial environment.
A can do attitude and solutions based mind-set
Preferred Qualifications
Entry level experience in a food service operation
Reliable transportation
