Waipouli Beach Resort has full time and part time openings on our Pool Attendant team with responsibilities for Pool Recreation operations.
Job Duties:
Pool Attendants are front-of-house employees due to their direct contact with Resort guests and owners. They must display a sense of the “Aloha Spirit” understand customer service and be able to understand and maintain department standards. They play an important roll in the overall guest experience. They also play an important role in protecting the Resort by recognizing and correcting unsafe practices in and around the pool area.
Key Responsibilities:
Assists the Security Officer in controlling “non-guest” access to our pool areas.
Prepares the pool deck for business, arranging furniture, policing trash and sweeping deck areas.
Receives and distributes guest pool towels. Transports new and used towels to and from loading dock.
Monitors water slide operations and enforces “house rules” on use.
Monitors pool and hot tub use and enforces “house rules” as needed.
May be asked to assist Pool Maintenance personnel.
Reports all work injuries immediately to the Team Lead or General Manager.
Reports unsafe Resort conditions immediately to the Security Officer, Team Lead or General Manager.
Performs special projects as assigned.
Hours and key responsibilities subject to change.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Good communication skills both verbally and in writing.
Greet guests with the “aloha spirit” and deliver first-class customer service.
Must be able to carry 30 pounds.
Local candidates only (Kauai residents).
