TITLE: Food & Beverage Manager (i.e. Restaurant Manager/Department Head)

REPORTS TO: Resort General Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: The Food and Beverage Manager serves as the leader of Sea House Restaurant, lounge and special events operations. Including direct oversight of FOH, BOH hourly and salaried staff. Works closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure seamless execution of events (all types).

The ideal candidate is a seasoned industry leader with strong interpersonal attributes and a diverse set of skills to handle a variety of responsibilities, while navigating the day-to-day operations. Must have the ability to stay calm under pressure, to lead by example and to have a true passion for providing memorable food and beverage experiences for our guests. While also promoting a positive and engaging work environment for our team and driving results in areas of quality/standards, training, growth and profitability.

Essential Qualifications: This is a salaried position that requires a visible, hands-on leader who will direct and manage all aspects of the Sea House Restaurant, lounge and special event operations. This is typically a five day a week (minimum 50 hour.) role that may vary in hours, shifts and days/time off, depending on restaurant business needs and demands, including emergencies.

Must be able to work flexible days and shifts.

Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.

Must have the physical ability to stand and walk throughout shift, including up and down stairs.

Must be able to handle repetitive motion movements such as: bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, lifting above

shoulders, grasping, clinching, and walking.

Must be able to communicate- hear, speak and write clearly. Corrective vision/hearing required.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) T&A and POS systems.

General Qualifications: Includes but is not limited to the following:

Leadership to inspire, engage, train and create positive relationships with staff, other departments, guests, clients,

vendors and community partners.

Solid understanding of the food and beverage industry, including wine knowledge and event/group/large party

facilitation.

Strong organizational skills, clear communication, and ability to work with multiple departments.

Problem solving and solution-based skills for dealing with unexpected circumstances, such as staffing shortages,

change, or guest issues/resolution.

Financial knowledge to manage budget/labor effectively, while keeping the restaurant profitable.

Ability to analyze reports and make data driven decision using restaurant management software.

Clear understanding of responsibilities, procedures, and techniques required for efficient work.

Ability to coordinate restaurant business and events. Fully knowledgeable about menu items, ingredients and

preparation. Ability to exercise and display good judgement.

Must be reliable, team oriented, able to multi-task and have a strong commitment to guest service.
