Sous chef Position at O’o Farm

We are seeking a hardworking, dedicated individual to join our team as a saute/line cook. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, desire to work with fresh produce and local ingredients.
O’o Farm is a diverse farm located in upcountry Kula, dedicated to farming and agritourism. The farm consistently produces coffee, vegetables, fruit and flowers with over 100 different crops in rotation and is sustainably maintained and naturally cultivated.
O’o Farm offers a true farm-to-table experience with two distinct tour experiences: A gourmet Breakfast and Coffee Tour and a Farm-to-Table Lunch, both of which introduce guests to small commercial farming, organic farming techniques, native Hawaiian plants, beneficial insects, and crop management methods, and how the farm team cares for the ʻaina sustainably.
Responsibilities:
Maintain the schedule of Monday-Friday 7am-3pm
Help make value added products using farm ingredients.
Proper culinary attire, appearance and hygiene.
Coordinate, communicate and assist product execution, with service staff
Maintain and improve the culinary experience at O'o Farm
Follow the cleaning schedule for the kitchen environment
Never leave a task unfinished.
The kitchen should be left as it was found or better.
Help with kitchen dishes.
Be available to assume the Chefs responsibilities for daily service or in the event of emergency, vacation etc.
Requirements:
Proven culinary experience with prep and knife skills
Ability to follow instruction and menu requirements.
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent physical stamina, job requires lifting, bending, walking
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Punctual, professional and reliable
Schedule: Mon-Fri. 7:00am -3 pm. Full time
