Thirty-Third Legislature
Seeking energetic, outgoing, and team-oriented individuals interested in participating in the legislative process. The following temporary position is for the 2025 Legislative Session.
Should the Legislature recess prematurely due to a COVID-19 related shutdown, employment may be terminated prior to any originally-anticipated end of employment date.
COMMITTEE CLERK/RESEARCHER:
Digest legislation and review various documents. May draft resolutions and committee reports. Handle inquiries concerning the status of legislation. Coordinate meetings and public hearings. Assemble and prepare bills and testimony for hearings. The ability to interact with government officials and the general public is required. Perform other duties as directed. Long hours, including weekends and holidays, may be required. Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
Salaries for full-time positions range from $2,240 - $4,200 depending upon responsibilities and applicants' qualifications. Optional health benefits available.
