In person interview only. Do not apply if you do not currently live in Maui. CNA training preferred but not necessary if you have skills needed. Male or Female can apply to look after 78 year old male stroke victim. Needs help showering toileting transfers in and out of wheelchair and bed. Some training will be given on transfers. Doctor's appointments also plus occasional dinner out. We do not use Hoyer lift, need to be able to do it without one. He is 155lbs 5'5". Must work weekends and holidays Christmas, New Years, Thanksgiving etc) Vacation time needs to be planned 3 months ahead to find relief person. Light housekeeping (sweeping, washing bathrooms floors etc) required. Wife does most cooking. He likes to play catch outside, cribbage, chess inside. Night duty mostly wife, but will have call button in room in case he needs to use toilet or emergency. Room is large with twin bed, couch, tv if wanted, private bath. You will have days off according to part time caregivers available. You will work Sat and Sun 8:30am-11:30am also 5pm - 7-7:30pm also Mon and Tues morn from 8:30am to 12:30 pm which is 19 hours will also include doctor's appt extra plus vacation time infill for others . Approximate workweek will be about 30 hours as you will need to cover vacation days of other cna's. Room and some meals plus salary TBD according to skills starting at $400 week.
