Certified Medical Assistant wanted to join a busy, established surgical practice. The ideal candidate will exhibit high standards of integrity and excellent communication skills. Must be a team player, dependable, hard working, and have the ability to multi-task and take initiative.
Primary duties included but are not limited to:
Check-in patients, taking vitals, updating medical history, scanning and documenting accurately into the EMR. Ensuring patient confidentiality with all information obtained.
Ability to efficiently schedule appointments, and surgical procedures.
Ability to efficiently communicate with insurance companies and pharmacies to coordinate prior authorizations for imaging, procedures, other studies and prescriptions/refills.
Familiar with medical office terminology and confident in communicating with other medical offices and facilities to coordinate patient care.
Ability to assist physicians with in-office procedures, to include setup and sterilization of exam rooms.
Efficiently monitor inventory and ability to order medical supplies to maintain procedure and exam rooms.
