We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Multi Practice Pediatrics healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and supporting the medical staff. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. Four day work weeks working 9-10 hours a day with some weekends.
Duties:
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing insurance information, insurance referrals
- Assist healthcare providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and assisting with any necessary preparations
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing patient concerns and ensuring their comfort during visits
- Utilize medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to accurately communicate with patients and healthcare professionals
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment
-Get dually trained working Front and back office where needed
-Must be willing to travel to other offices if needed. We have additional offices in Honolulu and Kaneohe
Experience:
- Certified Medical Assistant Preferred or Medical Assistant Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
-Experience in Pediatrics is preferred but not required
- Proficiency in basic life support techniques. Current BLS is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding practices
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus with Elation and Akamai
