Job Responsibilities
Greet patients as soon as they enter, determine their needs and direct them to the proper area in the office
Answer telephone calls in a professional manner, making appointments for patients and confirming future appointments
Respond to patient communications via telephone, voicemails and emails in a timely manner
Collect information from patients, including insurance information, intake form and contact information to put into company’s software system
Maintain office inventory, ensuring there are always efficient levels of supplies and other office equipment
Assist providers with responding to correspondence, including email, fax and physical letters
Prepare the front office to ensure they are sanitary, neat and clean
Maintain medical record database to ensure patient information is kept up to date
Perform additional administrative functions when needed, which can include providing patients with aftercare information, confirming appointments and contacting patients to collect invoice payments
Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:
Previous experience answering phones
Able to maintain the confidentiality of private information
Friendly demeanor and positive attitude
Basic knowledge of standard medical terminology
Proficient with computer skills
