POSITION: Resident Care Manager (CHO) of Wilson Senior Living

SHIFT: Day

HOURS: Full-time

LOCATION: 96 Kaneohe Bay Drive, Kailua (Aikahi Neighborhood)

The primary responsibility of this position is to supervise the day-to-day care activities of our Hawaii State licensed Adult Residential Care Home Type II Wilson Senior Living.

Wilson Senior Living is a 22 bed facility offering respite care, transitional care, Alzheimer's, long term, and hospice care. The home offers a variety of activities as well as a relaxing environment where our residents enjoy chef prepared meals, their own beautifully appointed bedrooms with on suite bathrooms, 24-hour care, and a family centered community. From the moment you walk into our home, residents and guests are greeted with a warm home environment that resonates throughout their stay. We are currently seeking top notch talent to join our caring team of professionals.

YOU:

More specifically, we are seeking a dynamic care manager to perform duties as our Care Home Operator. You will oversee a team of approximately 15 care staff to include training, delegating, coaching, counseling, and supporting all aspects of the care delivery processes. The function of this role includes resident assessments, establishing care plans, making daily rounds to see every resident, charting, auditing the medication delivery process, managing resident appointments, supervising and directing all aspects of care for each resident, providing instruction to staff through endorsements, maintaining records, responding to emergencies, and following the standards of the State of Hawaii ARCH II license. You will have regular communication with physicians, healthcare support personnel (hospice managers, physical/occ/speech therapists, case managers), various auditing entities (fire dept, health dept, etc.), family members, guests, and a team of support staff assisting with the operations of the home.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience: Must have a current Hawaii nursing license (RN/LPN) or Hawaii State Licensed as a Care Home Operator and keep current. Experience in the nursing field as well as the public health field, home health, healthcare facility or community health for at least (2) years is highly desired. Must be 18 years of age or older

Licenses/Clearances: A valid driver’s license is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment. TB Clearance is required.

Character: Applicants must have a reputation for honesty and trustworthiness. Must be responsible and able to exercise good judgment, provide and accept administrative supervision, pay attention to detail, follow instructions, including the ability to interact effectively and communicate with people in a professional and courteous manner. Must be highly confidential and work as a team with other staff. Applicant should be sensitive to client’s needs.

Skills: Strong supervisory, leadership, team building, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective peer relationships with coworkers within the facility and the public. Must be able to express ideas clearly, concisely, address a variety of people effectively, and exercise balanced judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions. Willing to be part of a team and cooperate in accomplishing goals and objectives. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, take initiative, be proactive, and function in a changing environment. Ability to work with people of all social and ethnic backgrounds and to resolve conflicts, negotiate situations, and facilitate consensus.
