BOTANICAL GARDENER - FULL TIME
Hi`ipaka LLC, Waimea Valley on the North Shore of Oahu is seeking a full time Botanical Gardener to work on the botanical collection and grounds of Waimea Valley. The Gardener's primary objective is to preserve, enhance, cultivate and care for plants in the botanical collections.
Waimea Valley is seeking a botanical gardener to work from Tuesday to Saturday: 40 hrs per week; 8 hours per day.
Qualifications:
Must be familiar with gardening tools and equipment used to cultivate and care for the botanical collections.
Must have knowledge of tropical gardening practices.
Must have the ability to read and understand chemical labels and SDS sheets and apply fertilizers and pesticides to maintain plant collections and property.
Must be people-oriented and able to work well with others.
Must have good oral communication skills.
Training and Experience
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience in tropical gardening and excel in chainsaw use.
Valid Driver's License required.
