We are searching for a Journeyman Cabinet Maker/Millworker to help keep our jobs moving forward in our innovative, customer-oriented, custom casework and millwork company. We build a wide variety of cabinetry and millwork. Applicants must be familiar with current woodworking and cabinet construction methods, practices, systems, and materials from start to finish. This position is full-time and located in Kailua Kona, HI. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, with an 8-hour day and the occasional opportunity for overtime.

Responsibilities include:

Milling of running and standing trims and knowledge in the fabrication of doors & gates.

Ability to select appropriate materials, fittings, and tools for each task.

Assemble and complete cabinets made from wood, laminate, and veneer.

Maintaining the utmost standards in quality and craftsmanship is a must, even

when your team and the company may have to meet tight deadlines.

Ability to stand for hours, occasionally necessary to stoop, kneel, and lift 50+ pounds.

Oversight of appropriate care for finished products, company equipment, and tools.

Able to follow the company shop foreman's directions and instructions.

Participate in the precise execution and completion of each customer project.

Keep a work schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and have

reliable daily transportation.

Problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude.

Required Skills:

5+ years' experience in custom casework, cabinet making, door or millwork.

Ability to read cabinet shop drawings, interpret blueprints, create cut lists, do material take-offs,

and fabricate through completion accurately, independently, and with minimal supervision.

Experience running large shop equipment, such as slide saw, drum sander, shapers,

band saw, molder, edge bander, etc. (CNC experience is a plus)

Work in an environment where the noise is usually moderate to loud.

Ability to maintain a clean and safe workspace and abide by safety standards.

Work well in a team setting as well as individually. Must have good interpersonal skills.
