POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Store Manager, the Driver/Warehouse position receives and checks incoming products, stocks or re-stocks shelves with products received, and performs delivery service to customer bases. Delivery service may be on demand, a delivery route, or a scheduled shuttle from point A to point B. The Driver/Warehouse position performs inventory control functions as directed by manager and assists in maintaining a clean and orderly working environment both in store and in delivery vehicles.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Uses company vehicle to deliver parts and equipment to customers in a safe and courteous manner.
2. Performs all delivery duties using safe driving habits, including defensive driving skills.
3. Cleans and maintains delivery vehicles and warehouse in a safe and orderly condition.
4. Performs routine maintenance checks on company vehicles.
5. Observes company work and safety rules in the performance of all duties.
6. Checks in product and notes shipping discrepancies.
7. Stocks shelves with incoming product.
8. Fills orders and packs as necessary.
9. Performs assigned bin and cycle counts.
10. Attends store meetings scheduled by management.
11. Participates in available training as discussed with store manager.
12. Picks up returns at customer’s place of business.
13. Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
14. Completes all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
1. High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
2. Must be at least 18 years old.
3. Must be dependable and punctual.
4. Ability to work in a team environment and a positive attitude required.
5. Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
6. A valid Driver's License with a good driving record required.
7. Must own a cell phone. If eligible, reimbursement will be made according to our Bring Your Own Device program.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
1. Walking: Moves about on foot often up and down stairs.
2. Handling: Seizes, helps, or works with hands.
3. Lifting: Raises or lowers miscellaneous automotive parts, tools, and batteries.
4. Reaching: Extends hands and arms in any direction.
5. Stooping: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.
6. Standing: Remains in standing position if required to perform various functions of the job.
7. Vision: Reads paperwork and records on the computer.
8. Talking: Communicates by phone and in person.
9. Sitting: Sits in vehicle for extended periods.
10. Lifting: Up to 60 lbs. daily, frequent exertion.
ENVIRONMENTAL:
1. Noise: Works in conditions with constant or intermittent noise.
2. Temp/Weather: Works in a warehouse environment.
