SUMMARY

The Field Technician will act as a representative of Pono Pacific, act in the best interest of the company and its employees, and act in a fair, safe, effective, and legal manner.
The Field Technician is primarily responsible for executing general conservation field labor under direction from Field Supervisor(s) and/or Project Manager(s). He/She must possess strong organizational skills, effective communication, punctuality/reliability, and demonstrate necessary physical capabilities for intense physical labor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform intense physical labor in remote areas and rugged terrain, including but not limited to:
o Remove/control invasive species utilizing both mechanical and chemical control methods
o Hunting utilizing dogs and firearms, and/or trapping
o Construct/maintain a variety of conservation fence styles
o Intense hiking, construction/maintenance of trails
o Collect and download GPS/GIS data
o Operate company vehicles and equipment in a safe and competent manner
o Other general field work as needed
Learn, adhere to, and promote company policies and procedures such as safety, attendance, use and care for company property, etc.
Maintain company equipment and assets, including but not limited to tools, firearms, GPS units, and vehicles
Attend and participate in company meetings and trainings/professional development
Other project-specific duties as necessary

COMPENSATION
Starting pay: $13 per hour (paid every other Friday through Altres)
