Custodial Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining order and cleanliness in the building, grounds and in other structures of the Pat’s at Punalu`u condominium and property.
Essential Functions
Ensure spaces are prepared and cleaned such as the building walkways
Sweep and mop the fitness center and the office
Vacuum and clean elevators
Wipe railings
Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and restock disposables (eg. Paper towel, toilet paper etc)
Maintain outer premises by watering plants, raking the back and front lawns, cleaning entrances
Clean and polish tools and equipment including fitness center equipment
Clean and Sort Recycle Bins and empty trash cans
Regular and frequent checks on the building’s trash room and chute system to ensure proper function to avoid jams and/or to clear jams. Shifting/moving trash dumpsters when full
Secure facilities after operational hours by locking doors and closing windows
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies
Notify manager regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems
Undertake occasional custodial tasks and perform minor repairs (moving chairs, lifting heavy items, fixing door handles etc.)
Responding to and completing resident and/or manager custodial requests.
Qualifications & Skills
Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for many hours
Ability to perform repetitive motion for long periods of time
Experience with using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers and cleaning solutions
Communication skills
Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders and work at particular heights.
Education & Experience Requirements
Previous experience in custodial work
High School Diploma or equivalent
Driver’s license
Hours: 40hours/week (Full-time)
Rate: $16-$18/hour (based on experience)
