Affordable Gardening (Hilo) is growing, and we’re looking for a bright, hard-working teammate who loves the outdoors, enjoys plants, and wants to learn new skills. We’re a small local crew that shows up, treats people right, and takes pride in good work. Women and men are equally welcome here—respect and teamwork are non-negotiable. We don’t use chemicals; we honor the land. We are all about safety and health, so no smoking or addictions, please.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Mowing, string-trimming, weeding, hauling green waste, tidy cleanups
Planting and mulching; simple yard restoration
Do a friendly walk-around quality check before we roll—eyes on edges, gates, tools, and any last bits of debris
WHO THRIVES HERE
You like sunshine, fresh air, and seeing a space look better when you leave
Honest, steady, and a good teammate—respectful and collaborative
Eager to learn new tools and techniques at a comfortable pace
Valid driver’s license + reliable vehicle to reach job sites
Can lift 40–50 lbs and handle a string trimmer (or pick it up quickly)
Grit for the long day or the occasional tough one
HOURS & PAY
Start 1–3 days/week (could be more if it’s a great fit)
$18/hr to start
