Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work at heights.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain roofs using various materials such as asphalt, metal, or shingles
- Inspect roofs for damage and determine the best course of action for repairs
- Measure and cut roofing materials to fit specific dimensions
- Remove old roofing materials and properly dispose of them
- Ensure roofs are properly sealed and waterproofed
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects in a timely manner
- Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Roofer or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of roofing materials, tools, and techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics related to roofing projects
- Proficient in concrete forming, trim carpentry, masonry, and stucco work
- Skilled in using hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing work
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
