One Kalakaua Senior Living is hiring for a part-time Maintenance - Janitor position. The Maintenance-Janitor person is primarily responsible for the daily routine janitorial, security, stocking and cleaning of the facility. This position also assists with daily operational needs and requests.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED preferred.
1 year experience in maintenance preferred. Experienced in using hand tools and cleaning equipment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Communicates effectively, both orally and written, using proper speech and grammar.
REASONING ABILITY: Able to understand and follow written and oral instructions. Uses good judgment, takes initiative in identifying hazards, notices residents changes in condition or other situations and responds appropriately and timely.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical demands require being able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis and stand for 80% of the time. Must be able to move quickly, push, pull climb, bend, stoop, squat, twist, crawl, reach, balance and climb ladders up to 25 feet. Fine and gross motor skills preferred.
Schedule: Evening Shifts (2pm - 8pm) including holidays and weekends; must have flexible schedule to cover other shifts as needed.
