Maintenance Worker
The Association of Apartment Owners of The Esplanade is seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Person(s). The Esplanade has 209 units, recreation facilities, boat docks, and storage areas. The individual is expected to have a wide range of skills and knowledge of all building systems to include, but not limited to, plumbing, painting, carpentry, roofing, electrical, HVAC systems, etc. The job also includes maintaining and cleaning outdoor facilities including the pool, outdoor showers, BBQ’s, furniture, etc. as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. Some tasks may overlap that of the Groundskeeper and the Housekeeper may act as the backup for this position. The Maintenance Worker must represent The Esplanade in a friendly and professional manner to owners, renters, visitors, and contractors.
Position requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English and follow oral and written directions in English.
Ability to work outdoors and on top of ladders.
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull 100 pounds, climb stairs/ladders, reach overhead.
Have knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electricity.
Have knowledge of landscape maintenance.
Have knowledge of pool maintenance.
Ability to use power tools and equipment.
Have a positive, service-oriented attitude towards residents.
Must be professional, honest, responsible, and reliable.
Scope and Compensation Package:
40 hours per week.
$18 - $21 per hour. Based on level of experience.
Two weeks paid vacation after one year of employment.
Ten paid Holidays.
