Surfing Goat Dairy, located on the beautiful slopes of Haleakala in Maui's Upcountry, is looking for a dedicated dairy worker to join our 'ohana! The dairy worker plays a key role in transforming our rich, creamy goat’s milk into award-winning products. From pasteurizing and cheesemaking to bottling and serving samples to tourists, this is a hands-on, dynamic role for someone who enjoys an agricultural setting and is passionate about food, farming, and education.
Key Responsibilities:
Pasteurize milk in compliance with health and safety standards.
Make a variety of cheeses for wholesale and our farm shop, following established recipes and techniques.
Heat and prepare milk for baby goats (seasonally), following proper sanitary procedures.
Package finished products and prepare orders for delivery to restaurants, our store, and tourists.
Serve samples and answer questions from tourists during farm visits and tours.
Clean and sanitize equipment and production areas daily.
Assist with related tasks on the farm as needed.
Qualifications:
Strong work ethic and reliability.
Willingness to work early morning shifts and weekends as scheduled.
Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to follow sanitary procedures and instructions accurately.
Willingness to learn and form food production and processing techniques.
Friendly, clear communication skills.
Experience in food processing, cheesemaking, or agriculture is a plus but not required – we’re willing to train the right person!
What We Offer:
Training and support from experienced staff
Shifts are scheduled between 6 AM and 7 PM Monday through Saturday
Part-time positions available
Pay between $19 - $20 an hour
