Job Description: Responsible fore maintaining nursery stock in container sizes ranging from 3 gallon up to 30 gallon. Keeping plants presentable and ready for sale to both retail and wholesale/landscape clientele. This includes fertilizing, treating for pests and insects with horticultural sprays and systemic products, weeding, pruning and shaping, and minimal propagation. Must be able to work outside in the sun, with little supervision.
Background of candidate: Must have a horticultural background, with previous work in nursery desirable. Must have familiarity with local plant names and growth habits.
Hourly Wage: Commensurate with experience, $25-$35. Work schedule Mon.-Fri. 7 am-3pm with one hour paid lunch. Generous benefits (details upon request after candidate is interviewed
