Plant It Hawaii is looking to grow our team. With Spring just around the corner there is lots to do on the farm! Are you familiar with our company? We are a wholesale fruit tree nursery and tropical fruit producer. We strive to provide the state of Hawaii with quality fruit trees that will provide for years to come. There are several full-time positions available, from entry level laborers to skilled leaders and propagators.
Nursery Production tasks may include:
General plant care: weeding, trimming, staking, fertilizing etc.
Filling pots for transplanting
Assist with transplanting and up-potting
Assist with propagation: cleaning & planting seed, starting cuttings, grafting… etc.
Pulling orders
Basic Tractor operations
Orchard and Fruit Production tasks may include:
Harvesting in the field and fruit prep and grading in the packing house.
Preparing packaging materials
Assisting on the fruit packing line, fast paced environment that requires attention to your surroundings
Cleaning and sanitizing of pack line and pack house
Chainsaw and Pruning work
Requirements:
Have a positive attitude and be able to work on a team
A passion to work outdoors and with plants
Work with attention to detail, awareness of surroundings and efficiency
Be able to show up on time and complete the tasks assigned
Be fit for physical labor, be able to work outside in the heat & rain, able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Be willing and able to comply with all farm rules and guidelines as well as food safety requirements.
