Position Summary:

CEMML is a research, education, and service unit within the Warner College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University (CSU). CEMML applies the latest and most appropriate science to promote the sustainable management of natural and cultural resources on Department of Defense (DoD) and other public lands. A Recycling Center Manager position is available with Colorado State University and the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands to be located at Pohakuloa Training Area, HI.

The Recycling Manager is responsible for all aspects of the management and operation of the Pohakuloa Training Area Army Recycle Center (PARC). The Manager operates vehicles, forklifts and recycling equipment, and coordinates troop working parties to collect, receive, sort, store, and ship recyclable materials. This position is responsible for reviewing PARC operations to ensure recycling processes are conducted in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements for the facility. The Manager also provides support to the Army Recycling Program Manager to assist with the management of the Army's Qualified Recycling Program (QRP) and assists with public outreach programs to raise awareness and motivate personnel to recycle.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED

One year of general labor experience that includes operating industrial equipment, using power tools, and operating a forklift.

Experience managing plant operations that includes receiving, storing, and shipping materials as well as collecting data to accurately track the inventory throughout this process.

Must have or be able to attain and maintain Forklift Certification.

Must be able to lift and carry 75-pounds.

Must have a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain a driver's license by the employment start date.

The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. by proposed start date; CEMML will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
