Warehouse Associate
Location: Hilo, HI
Pay: $15.00/hour
Part-Time Mon-Sat 8am to 12p
Full-Time hours available pending work performance during the probationary period.
Responsibilities:
· Checks material for defects before packing orders out to ensure high-quality products are delivered to customers.
· Cross reference invoice orders with delivered products to ensure all items are correct and accounted for.
· Keep a clear and efficient inventory of all materials entering and exiting the warehouse
· Delivering materials when needed
· Helping installers when needed
· Running errands for store and picking up orders as needed
· Collects finished product/orders and pre-packs it at a wrap/staging station.
· Manually loads packaged material onto pallets and secures the material or products for transport to designated areas.
· Pulls and stages materials as required to meet production demands.
· Accurately perform quality checks of material as it is being produced or delivered and packed out.
· House and store materials in an orderly fashion within warehouse.
· Responsible for maintaining stock items.
· Utilize a trolly, pallet jack, etc. to transport and load up flooring, carpets, tile cases, etc.
· Assist with basic janitorial functions (sweep debris, remove trash, etc.) to maintain a clean warehouse
Qualifications:
· Read/write/communicate clearly in standard English
· Ability to pass a color-vision test
· Proficient in performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.
· Prior experience in a warehouse or as a general laborer preferred.
· Good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with others in the immediate work unit and related support areas.
· Ability to follow simple verbal and written instructions.
· Ability to work in conditions that may include hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and noise.
· Requires standing more than 2/3 of the shift time.
· Requires regular lifting of 15-50 pounds
· Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record.
Experience:
· Materials handling: 1 year (Preferred)
· Warehouse experience: 1 year (Preferred)
