Receive incoming shipments
Check all received freight for damages and count according to company procedures, report damages, shortages, overages, & other discrepancies on the outgoing manifest and to the supervisor.
Unload containers, identify and mark cargo for consignees, noting vessel, voyage, container number, customer and total pieces on cargo.
Off load pallets, properly securing freight on pallets, move freight to the appropriate designated areas of the warehouse, operating forklift as required.
Weigh items for shipment, adding weights and recording figures on applicable forms.
Load freight into containers according to proper procedures.
Prepare equipment for use; includes daily completion of equipment checklist to ensure it is in operating condition & performing routine inspection of mechanical equipment
Perform other related warehouse duties as may be required or assigned
