Nursery knowledge is helpful but not required. Need to have 5 years of experience in supervising/managing employees. Need to be able to work well with others. Will need to be able to delegate tasks, reprimand employees, while working side by side with employees.
Job duties may include the following:
Planting small to large ornamental foliage plants
Pulling plant orders (ability to lift/carry 50 lbs)
Inspecting orders for disease and insects
Spraying herbicides and pesticides
Harvesting plant cuttings
Packing 40 ft shipping containers
Minor irrigation repair
Watering and weeding plants
We work rain or shine and the job can be physically demanding at times
Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time
Ability to work well with others
Starting pay based on experience and qualifications
