Waikiki Brewing Company:

We are looking for an Hourly Brewer to work evenings 4pm to 12pm. Various Days depending on Brew days but only 4 days per week.

Here are the requirements below.

Pay: $28.00 per hour

Meal Card: $100.00 every two weeks on payday.

Vacation: 1 week of Paid Vacation annually

Health Insurance paid up to 98.5 %.

Must have Valid Driver's License.

Must be able to train with the Head Brewer before working at nights.

Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of a Brewer is to assist the Director of Brewing Operations in the management of brewing operations, assist in planning and brewing, supervise cellar workers, manufacture beer, deliver beer, and perform a variety of housekeeping and sanitation tasks and functions under the direct supervision of the Director of Brewing Operations, President, and/or General Manager.

Position Responsibilities: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Assists in the management of brewery operations, including production and brewpub.

Maintains records using manual systems, accounting software, and brewery management software.

Manages Purchase Orders and A/R invoices for distribution, direct customers, and intercompany customers.

Assists in the development of new recipes and products.

Assists the Director of Brewing Operations with tasks as needed or assigned.

Assists in the achievement of planned sales and profit levels for the brewery through the implementation, management, and enforcement of company policies, procedures, programs, and performance standards.

Directly supervises all non-exempt brewery production employees during hours of brewery operations.

Plan and assign daily goals, tasks, and assignments. Assure proper completion through follow-up.

Recruit, train, develop, and communicate with all staff as well as assess performance daily.

Cleaning, sanitizing, and sterilizing all brewery equipment and facilities (i.e., kegs, tanks, etc.).

‪Racking and pumping of beer, moving hoses, and equipment‬.‬‬‬‬‬‬

‪Forklift operation, moving barrels, and other case goods.‬‬‬‬‬‬

‪Follows to strictly observe and comply with all safe cellar practices.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Brew beer following Standard Operating Procedures and in accordance with recipes and production sheets.

Assists in the selection of malted barley or grain, hops, yeast, and other ingredients.

Assists carefully monitor and recording the fermentation rate, pH values, and temperature levels of product to ensure consistent quality throughout the brewing process.

Assists in fixing and maintain brewery equipment.

Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the brewery and brewery equipment.

Maintain clean, fix, and maintained draft lines and serving equipment.

Assists in packaging beer for mass consumption.

Assists in tracking raw material and product inventories as well as production expenses.

Deliver kegged and or other packaged beer.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the Brewmaster, Head Brewer, and/or GM.

Essential Physical Requirements:

Walks and stands during the entire shift.

Continuously reach, bend, twist, turn, push, pull, reach, lift, carry, stoop, and wipe.

Constant repetitive hand and wrist movements and forearm rotation.

Frequent washing of the hands.

Be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 - 60 lbs. regularly.

Be able to safely move using hand-trucks, dollies, lifts, etc. up to 170 lbs.

Hazards may include, but are not limited to slipping and tripping.

You must be of legal age to brew beer according to state law.

Duties will be performed in extreme work conditions (hot, cold (freezer), and wet) with proper use of PPE and proper, safe chemical handling.

Knowledge and Skills:

Good manual dexterity and proficient knowledge of the equipment used to prepare beer, such as brewhouse, pumps, filters, tanks, refrigeration, and serving equipment.

Oral and interpersonal communication skills are important since position must communicate with and coordinate production schedules accordingly.

Basic mathematical, reading/comprehension, and computer skills required.

Basic knowledge of beer styles, history, serving, and the Company’s beer specifications is required.

Organizational skills.

Multi-task oriented.

Commitment to quality and cleanliness.

Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and protocol.

Must be able to work safely around equipment, electrical outlets, and chemicals.

Working knowledge of cellar worker duties and functions.

Other Requirements:

Valid driver’s license.

Ability to work any day, any time, or any shift.
