Marimed Foundation is actively looking to fill the position of Captain/Instructor for the SSV Makani Olu.
Hawaii's only sailing school vessel's Captain must be able to demonstrate leadership, excellent sailing skills, prior experience serving as a watch officer, and experience managing crew. This is a full time year around position that is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the ship as well as serving as an instructor for our Maritime Careers Exploration and Placement program. This position requires a minimum of a 100 ton license, near coastal with a sail endorsement.
